816-920-5955"We scheduled an air conditioning tune up. We were told the technician would arrive between 8am and noon, and we'd get a call the morning of with a more specific time frame. Next, something happened that had never happened before: I was late meeting the service technician. I had forgotten all about it and went shopping. R-Mech had the home phone number, not my cell. When I returned at 8:25a, I saw the R-Mech service van waiting for me. That's how I kept a service technician waiting, instead of the other way around.
Mike Crow introduced himself. I briefly worried that the AC tune-up would be rushed or diminished with my tardiness. I say briefly because it soon became apparent that the service tune-ups are treated with the same diligence as a repair. Things were measured, panels removed and covered places, with much cleaning along the way to those surfaces that aren't normally exposed. Like a doctor giving advice without being pushy, he advised me on some maintenance steps I could do later in the year to keep my air-conditioning system healthy. He answered my follow questions and made great conversation doing so. Even when I asked questions I realized were naive upon receiving the answer.
I really liked how Mike handled the tune-up and would want him to come out the next time this house has a major mechanical appliance in need of professional service. It's also very unlikely my HVAC would require such a thing any time soon because its being tuned up by a professional who cares.

He genuinely wanted to get us heat as soon as possible, and wanted to give us the best deal possible. He didn’t try to up-sell us, just gave us all the options. He was also able to give us great financing options. R-Mech installed that Monday and Carlos and Raynaldo did a great job, were very courteous and thorough. 816-920-5955"I was told that a part had been ordered and we were waiting on it to be delivered over a month ago. I have called and spoken with R-Mech three times since then to check on the status. Each time I am told that it has not yet been delivered. It can take 2-6 weeks due to Covid. I called back today (a month after the original service date) and was just told that they never actually ordered the part and that they were waiting on a quote to be signed off on.
